Are you a licensed employment agency?

We are indeed legally allowed to help our students take on roles with our hiring partners. For reference or more information, our HK Employment Agency Administration (http://www.eaa.labour.gov.hk/) license number is 54279.

Can anyone join the part-time courses?

Our part-time courses are open for anyone to sign up for, however we may introduce "advanced" classes that will build on materials that were learned in preceding classes. In this case we will do our best to make sure that our students are placed in the best environment for them before registration.

Can anyone join your Full-Time Immersive Coding Bootcamp?

Everyone is welcome to apply, however we do have a screening and selection process to select qualified applicants that demonstrate the motivation and mindset to take on our curriculum. This helps us ensure that graduates are prepared for work after the program.

Do I need coding experience to join the Full-Time Immersive program?

There is no coding experience necessary to apply, however throughout our selection process we require applicants to complete a "coding challenge" and "technical interview" which consist of basic coding challenges. For this, we provide free resources to gain the requisite knowledge for understanding the materials.

Do I need to pay anything up front for the Full-Time Immersive program?

Upon acceptance to the program, students are required to pay a HK$20,000 admissions fee to secure their spot. We do work with potential students on a case-by-case basis. Just let us know and we'll find a solution for you.

Does Accelerate provide a visa for me?

We do not issue visas or guarantee that students can obtain visas, but we can point you in the right direction.

Can I still join the Full-Time Immersive Software Engineering Bootcamp if I don't want to be a coder?

Of course! We have many students come to us who want to learn coding for various reasons, whether its to start their own company or become a "hybrid", which is business-minded individual with enhanced tech knowledge (think digital marketers or product managers). We open our doors to students like this and highly encourage this mindset, but in some cases we do not offer deferred tuition as your post-graduation work status may not fit our current scope. In this case, we will negotiate a payment plan with you prior to joining.

Do all of your courses offer deferred tuition?

The Full-Time Immersive Software Engineering Bootcamp is designed for those looking for a new career path immediately after graduating. Our part-time evening courses and weekend workshops are fantastic resources for those looking to improve their current skill-sets or simply learn cutting edge skills of the future. While we open our community and network to all Acclelerate students, we do not actively help part-time students seek employment or offer tuition repayment via salary.

What is deferred tuition?

One of our core missions at Accelerate is to make learning new skills accessible to everyone. We know that many people seeking a new or improved career path don't necessarily have amount of money many programs charge to learn new skills. For our Full-Time Immersive Coding Bootcamp, we share accountability with students who are seeking new jobs by allowing tuition repayment in the form of 15% of your first year's salary over the period of 6 months.

Can I learn while working at my current job?

Our Full-Time Immersive Coding Bootcamp is just that... full-time and immersive. The program is designed for those who want to transform their career or, in many cases, become an entrepreneur. The best way to do this is with us, on our campus 5 days a week for 4 months along side our professional instructors and like-minded peers. Our part-time evening courses are the perfect solution for you to pick up extremely useful skills during your evenings, or sometimes weekends.
